Technical Issues

The website doesn’t seem to work?

It may be that your computer is running on an old browser or have you have a low internet speed connection.
To check you internet speed go to www.broadbandspeedchecker.com  or type in Broadband speed check into a search engine and run a speed test. Anything less the 1.5mb per second will make the site run slowly but it will work. Uploading photos may also take a bit longer too.
A browser is the programme you access the internet on. Running the most up-to-date browser is important. Most PC’s come with Internet Explorer as standard and most Mac’s come with safari as standard. However you can also download different browsers and so other popular browsers are Firefox and Google Chrome.
Follow these steps to ensure you have the most up-to-date browsers:
Internet Explorer – Click on the ‘?’ top right. Select ‘About Internet Explorer’. If you are using version 8 or below go the http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/internet-explorer/download-ie. If you are using Windows XP or an earlier version of Windows then it would be better if you downloaded another browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome. See below on how to do this.
Firefox – Click on help in the top menu, select ‘About Firefox’. If you are using version 15 or below go to www.getfirefox.com to update your browser.
Google Chrome – Click on the three horizontal lines in the top right hand corner, select ‘About Google Chrome’. Google Chrome will then launch another webpage and it will inform you whether or not you need to update your browser to the latest version. It will also take you through the steps to do this.
Safari – Click on the icon that looks like a cog/wheel in the top right hand corner, select ‘About Safari’. If you are running version 5 or below you should upgrade to latest version. Type in ‘Safari Download’ into your search engine and the correct page for your operating system is usually at the top of the listings.
